The designer’s advice
Kasaï loves a mix. I like pairing it with a print to play on contrast. With denim, it takes on a whole new allure: the bogolan and the electric blue become the focal points of the silhouette.

The story of the piece
Where textures meet.
Kasaï was born from my wish to bring textures into dialogue.
At its centre, bogolan cloth meets the textured black sides, while electric blue adds an unexpected touch. The cowrie shells along the ties sign the piece.
Its name comes from the Kasaï region of the Congo; its cloth, from Malian bogolan. Two heritages in conversation.
Depending on the cut of the cloth, its patterns vary from one bag to the next: each Kasaï is slightly different.
